Media bridge for gas turbine power plant

Our customer Smurfit Westrock GmbH is planning the construction of a new gas turbine power plant with an output of 2 x 7.5 MW each to generate electricity and steam at the Wrexen site. The steam generated will be used in the production processes on site. The power plant will be built around 270 meters away from the existing production facilities in a new energy center.

The first step was to assemble the supports on site, which are up to 8 meters long and weigh up to 4.6 tons. The associated pipe bridge, consisting of bridge segments with a length of 15 meters and a total weight of around 20 tons, is installed on these supports. All the necessary pipelines, insulation and piping are already integrated into the bridge sections.

The bridge segments were transported overnight from Hessisch Lichtenau to Wrexen-Diemelstadt by heavy transport.
