Biogas energy bridge
A further section to optimize the district heating supply for our customer was successfully completed and put into operation.
Pipeline construction plays a central role in modern energy supply. With this project, Antrok has made a significant contribution to the promotion of sustainable energy sources and technologies. Several hundred meters of steel pipes in various nominal widths - from DN500 and DN300 to DN250 and DN50 - were laid with precision.
The precise installation of the district heating pumps and the heating condenser was just as essential as the professional installation of the measuring and monitoring fittings to ensure smooth commissioning.
The district heating extraction at the newly installed steam turbine enables a thermal output of up to 47 MW. This capacity supplements the existing heat extraction of the old steam turbine, which can continue to feed up to 80 MW of thermal energy into the district heating network. However, this is not additional capacity, but redundancy, as steam production at the site has remained unchanged.
A key advantage of the new plant lies in the smooth operation of the steam turbine, which enables both pure electricity production in condensing mode and combined electricity and district heating generation in combined heat and power mode. This flexible operating model sustainably increases the efficiency and reliability of the energy supply.
