Assembly system for helicoils

In order to equip aluminum structural parts such as car side skirts with the required thread inserts, our task was to design an automated multifunctional system that supports and inspects in equal measure and contributes to work ergonomics.

The Antrok helicoil assembly system automatically swivels the components to be processed in three different positions. The helicoils are installed using manual screwdrivers and checked by laser measurement in the same work step. Individual adjustment of the construction heights enables each employee to adjust the system precisely to their height. Additional protection is provided by light curtains that prevent the system from moving if a person is in the danger zone.
